Zinc oxide, the active ingredient in DESITIN® Rapid Relief Cream, is a skin protectant. It provides protection by forming a protective barrier on skin, preventing wetness and other irritants from reaching the skin underneath.

Inactive ingredients in DESITIN® Rapid Relief Cream include:
 

  • Petrolatum – an occlusive skin conditioner that increases the water content of the skin by blocking loss of water through evaporation
  • Aloe – a naturally-derived emollient skin conditioner that helps maintain the soft, smooth, and pliable appearance of skin. Emollients function through their ability to remain on the skin surface or in the skin’s top layer to act as lubricants, reduce flaking, and improve the skin’s appearance
  • Vitamin E Acetate – an antioxidant that plays a vital role in maintaining the quality, integrity, and safety of cosmetic products
  • Dimethicone – a skin protectant. It forms a protective barrier on skin, preventing wetness and other irritants from reaching the skin underneath
  • Mineral oil – a skin protectant, an occlusive skin conditioner, and an emollient skin conditioner. Forms a protective barrier on skin, preventing wetness and other irritants from reaching the skin underneath. This is a Miracle Cream! My daughter had a diaper rash that was not improving with the two Aveeno creams I tried. I purchased the Desitin Rapid Relief for just over $3.00. I applied it after each diaper change, and within about 36 hours the rash was completely gone! I am very pleased! Its OK This is creamy like it says but it doesn't stay on long. In between diaper changes its hardly visible. The original Desitin is what I will stick with. It lasts a long time. June 27, 2012

Works wonders! My son is now 4 and I still use this creamy formula for the ocassional rash. I even use it myself. Goes on thick yet wipes clean. Starts working the minute you put it on. I always keep a tube around the house. March 30, 2012

love desitin i love these products! my kids had a lotta diaper rash and now with my youngest potty training..i still use this cream to help heall and smooth any rash or irration. this product works fast at healing..clears up in a few days at most!
